Working on 3D Viewer

I was checking out SE Toolbox and wanted to see how difficult it would be to view a representation of the map in 3D.

I took the XML output from the "View current Sandbox raw" and parsed it in Unity3D. It's just a prototype right now, only showing player and beacon locations as boxes, but I plan to improve on it.

Are you currently working on anything like this? I'm calling it SEMapper.

Also, the xml file is a bit of a pain in the ass, lol. Did you build out a class to use with the xmlserializer or are you parsing "manually"?...

I'm just using XML reader to read thru and find the bits I want for now. If you wanted to share I could prob use whatever code you have on that(assuming c#/c++) to get more advanced stuff up and running faster.

Andereg73 has been working on a 3D view.
I'm not sure exactly what he has planned.
It's currently under work item 1365.

We use the Space Engineers serializer, which gives us access to everything in the save content without having the parse it.
